Hot-dip galvanizing line FBA 10 at thyssenkrupp Steel Europe

ANDRITZ AG has built the new, state-of-the-art FBA 10 hot-dip galvanizing line for strip steels on the site of the former Westfalenhütte steel mill in Dortmund. With this investment, the operator, thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG, is strengthening the site and at the same time following the trend for hot-dip galvanized steels for the automotive industry of the future.

KERN Industrie Automation supported ANDRITZ during the complex commissioning of the 350m long and up to 65m high plant. Our international team of experienced software experts for coil strip process, plant control, and operating systems has thus made a significant contribution to ensuring that up to 600,000 tons of hot-dip galvanized steel can be produced here in the future.
